If you searched for Snapchatplanetsorders.com, you might want to know what this website is. You may also want to learn how it connects to Snapchat and its popular friend list features.
This guide explains what the website does, whether it is official, and how the planet features on Snapchat actually work.
What Is Snapchatplanetsorders.com?
Snapchatplanetsorders.com is an independent website. It publishes guides, explanations, and details about the Snapchat Planets feature, which people also call the Friend Solar System.
Many users find this site when they search online to figure out what their friend’s planet ranking means.
Key Facts About the Domain
| Feature | Details |
| Domain | Snapchatplanetsorders.com |
| Main Topic | Snapchat Planets and Friend Solar Systems |
| Website Type | Independent help blog or guide |
| Snapchat / Snap Inc. Connection | None (Not owned or run by Snap Inc.) |
| Main Official Source | Official Snapchat Support |
The website is not owned, run, or supported by Snapchat or its parent company, Snap Inc. It is simply an online page made by outside writers to explain social media tools.
If you need official help with your account, app settings, or subscription rules, always use official Snapchat Support instead of third-party sites.
Is Snapchatplanetsorders.com an Official Snapchat Website?
No, Snapchatplanetsorders.com is not an official Snapchat website.
It is easy to mix up independent guide sites with official brand pages, especially when they use similar words in their web address. However, official Snapchat pages always use verified web addresses owned directly by Snap Inc.
Official vs. Independent Sources
| Source Type | Examples | Role |
| Official Property | Snapchat Support, snapchat.com | Provides official rules, bug fixes, and account controls. |
| Independent Website | Snapchatplanetsorders.com | Offers user guides, ideas, and general information. |
Independent sites can help you learn the basics of a trend. However, they do not speak for Snapchat. They cannot change your app settings, fix bugs, or alter your friend rankings.
Always rely on the official Snapchat app and official support channels for accurate product updates.
What Are Snapchat Planets or Friend Solar Systems?
Snapchat has a feature officially named the Friend Solar System. It is made to show how closely you talk to your top friends on the app.
The feature uses a fun space theme. Think of your friendship list like a mini solar system:
- You are the Sun in the middle.
- Your close friends are planets spinning around you.
- Each planet stands for a specific spot on your Best Friends list.
This feature connects directly to a paid subscription called Snapchat+.
The planets do not measure your real-life feelings, personality, or actual friendship worth. They only show how often you send messages on the app.
What Is the Snapchat Planets Order?
If you have access to the Friend Solar System, each of your top eight friends gets a specific planet. The order matches our real solar system, starting closest to the Sun and moving outward.
Here is the exact order of the planets and what each spot means:
| Rank | Planet | What the Position Means |
| 1 | Mercury | Your #1 Best Friend on the app |
| 2 | Venus | Your #2 Best Friend |
| 3 | Earth | Your #3 Best Friend |
| 4 | Mars | Your #4 Best Friend |
| 5 | Jupiter | Your #5 Best Friend |
| 6 | Saturn | Your #6 Best Friend |
| 7 | Uranus | Your #7 Best Friend |
| 8 | Neptune | Your #8 Best Friend |
Each planet stands for a spot on the other person’s Best Friends list.
Being placed at Neptune does not officially mean you are just a casual acquaintance. It simply means you sit in the eighth spot on that specific friend list based on recent chats and snaps.
How Do Snapchat Planets Work?
To understand how these rankings work, you need to look at whose screen you are viewing and what the app shows on your profile.
Whose Solar System Are You Viewing?
The planet ranking depends completely on whose profile you look at.
You might be Mercury in your best friend’s solar system because you chat with them more than anyone else. At the same time, that same friend might only be Mars in your solar system because you talk to several other people more often.
Rankings do not have to match in both directions.
What Does the Best Friends Badge Mean?
Snapchat uses special badges on Friendship Profiles to show when someone is part of your top relationship group.
- Look for the Best Friends badge on a profile.
- It often shows up with a gold ring described in official support guides.
- Tapping this badge reveals the planet position if the feature is turned on and ready.
Do You Need Snapchat+ to See Snapchat Planets?
Yes, Friend Solar Systems are an exclusive feature for Snapchat+ subscribers.
You cannot unlock or view these planet rankings using free, unofficial methods. Be careful with websites or apps that promise free subscription upgrades or secret tricks.
Free vs. Snapchat+ Feature Access
| Feature | Free Snapchat Account | Snapchat+ Subscription |
| Standard Messaging and Snaps | Yes | Yes |
| Basic Friend List | Yes | Yes |
| Friend Solar System (Planets) | No | Yes |
Subscription prices change over time and vary by location. Check the current pricing details directly inside your own Snapchat app instead of trusting old blog posts.
How to Turn On and See Friend Solar System
If you have a Snapchat+ subscription, you can view the Friend Solar System feature. By default, Snapchat turns this feature off for first-time subscribers. You need to turn it on manually in your settings.
Follow these steps to turn on and view the feature:
- Open your Snapchat app and tap your profile icon.
- Open your Snapchat+ membership menu.
- Find the feature management screen and look for Friend Solar System.
- Turn the switch on if it is currently off.
- Go to the Friendship Profile of the person you want to check.
- Look for the Best Friends badge and tap it to view their planet position.
App screens can change over time. If your screen looks different, check for the latest app update in your device app store.
Why Are Snapchat Planets Not Showing?
Sometimes you might look for a planet ranking and find nothing. If your planets are missing, check these common causes in order:
- Subscription Status: Make sure your Snapchat+ subscription is active.
- Feature Switch: Check if the Friend Solar System is turned on in your settings.
- Best Friends List: Make sure the person is actually in your top eight Best Friends list.
- App Updates: Update your Snapchat app to the newest version available.
- Profile View: Make sure you are viewing the correct Friendship Profile.
Do not assume that clearing your phone memory, reinstalling the app, or sending more messages will fix a missing feature. If your settings are correct and the feature still fails to show up, contact official Snapchat Support for help.
What Determines Your Snapchat Planet?
Snapchat uses a simple rule for planet assignments. Official guides confirm that planets represent specific spots in a user’s Best Friends list.
Snapchat describes Best Friends as the people you Snap and Chat with the most. The app measures how often you talk to build this list.
Officially Confirmed vs. Commonly Claimed Rules
| Claim Type | Status | Details |
| Best Friends List Position | Confirmed | Planets directly show spots one through eight in top chats. |
| Exact Scoring Formula | Unclaimed | Snapchat does not publish the exact math behind the rankings. |
| Snapstreaks and Response Time | Unverified | Rumors about streaks or chat speed deciding exact planets are not official rules. |
Avoid trusting unverified online theories about secret scoring codes. Snapchat keeps the exact ranking formula private.
Can You Change or Improve Your Snapchat Planet Ranking?
Many users want to move from Neptune closer to Mercury on a friend’s list. There is no secret button or manual setting to choose your planet.
Rankings change naturally over time as your messaging habits shift. If you send more Snaps and chats to someone, your position on their list can update.
Do not trust ranking hacks or outside tricks that promise to change your planet. Focus on normal app communication if you want your list to update naturally.
Snapchat Friends vs. Best Friends Badges
Snapchat uses different badges to show relationship status on profiles. Understanding these badges helps you read your profile correctly.
| Badge or Status | What It Indicates | What Users Should Not Assume |
| Best Friends | Your position in the top eight relationship rankings. | It does not measure real-life friendship quality or loyalty. |
| Friends | A standard connection on the app. | Do not add extra relationship labels to basic friend states. |
| No Relevant Badge | The feature or status may not be available right now. | Do not assume a specific ranking when no badge appears. |
Rely only on current support guides to understand badge meanings. Avoid using old terms from past app versions.
What Snapchat Planets Do—and Do Not—Tell You
A planet ranking only shows your messaging position on a specific app. It is not an official measure of real life.
The ranking does not measure:
- Friendship quality
- Emotional closeness
- Personal loyalty
- Real-world importance
Platform rankings can differ completely from real relationships. Keep social pressure in mind and remember that app rankings are just for fun.
Snapchat Planets vs. Other Snapchat Friendship Features
Snapchat includes several features that track your connections. It helps to know how they differ from one another.
| Feature | Purpose |
| Friend Solar System | Shows planet positions in another user’s Best Friends list. |
| Best Friends | Identifies the top-eight relationship ranking. |
| Friendship Profile | The main page where friendship details appear. |
| Snapstreak | Tracks consecutive days of sending Snaps back and forth. |
| Friendmoji | Visual icons connected to chat friendships. |
A long Snapstreak does not automatically guarantee a high planet ranking. Each feature tracks a different type of app activity.
Common Snapchat Planets Mistakes to Avoid
Keep these common errors in mind when exploring friend rankings:
- Treating unofficial planet personality meanings as actual Snapchat rules.
- Assuming Mercury automatically means someone is your best friend in real life.
- Assuming planet rankings are always mutual between two users.
- Assuming a Snapstreak guarantees a particular planet position.
- Believing that the exact ranking algorithm is public knowledge.
- Assuming Snapchat+ automatically turns on the Solar System for new users.
- Using old screenshots or outdated subscription price guides.
- Following unofficial websites that promise free Snapchat+ access.
